Johor Public Holiday refers to the official days off recognised by the state of Johor, Malaysia. Johor public holidays may include Public Holidays in Malaysia and national celebrations, such as Merdeka. It also has Hari Keputeraan Rasmi Sultan Johor and state-specific observances unique to Johor.
The holidays may vary each year due to the Islamic lunar calendar and are an important aspect of Johor’s cultural and traditional heritage.

What happens if Johor Public Holidays falls on the Saturday or Sunday?
If a public holiday in Johor falls on a weekend (Friday or Saturday), it is usually replaced and observed on the next working day (Sunday).
This is a ‘Substitute Public Holiday’ or ‘Replacement Public Holiday‘. However, the state or federal government will make the final decision, which may vary.
